The Magical 2-Ingredient Dough

We’ve all been hearing about the 2 ingredient dough, and I am loving it!  Just this simple combination of 2 ingredients is so versatile!

 

I have made bagels, buns, pizza dough, cinnamon rolls…. All using this same base recipe:

Ingredients:
1/2 cup self- raising flour (or all purpose flour plus a tsp of baking powder)
1/2 nonfat greek yogurt

Method:
Mix the two ingredients together in your bowl until a dough forms.  It will be sticky at first, but keep at it.  Consider adding some additional flavor at this point.  Garlic?  Parmesan?  Maybe cinnamon and sugar for something sweet.

Section out your dough into 4 pieces and create your bagel shape by rolling the dough into a sausage and bringing together the ends.  Once on the baking sheet, give them a light coating of egg wash (or egg whites!) and bake them in your oven at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

*If you’re making pizza, just following the instructions and roll out your dough instead.  Cook it for about 5 minutes prior to adding toppings, then let it bake with toppings for another 10-15.

70 calories per bagel
12g carbs
0g fat
4g protein

Remember to add your calories for additional flavors/add-ins!
